Holding my breath in anticipation of the final edits for The Rose and the Whip . . . anticipating what awaits behind the pulled shades, the closed window, the shadows; the shifting light means the picture will change in the blink of an eye . . . what's next is as much a mystery to me as are the hidden wonders in any picture. The key to anticipation is patience, I think. Wait, and everything changes; wait and everything becomes known; wait and the light will reveal itself.
